Mickalene Thomas has captured the Origin of her Universe, in her first solo museum exhibition....
Recently I visited the Brooklyn Museum and had the unique opportunity to see her work.....up close ... AMAZING !
The energy of her work gives hints Romare Bearden and Henri Matisse..which are two of my favorite !
Some say she is a late bloomer...but I say she is right on time !
. Vibrate, Bold, and Sexy.
In many of her interviews , she has mentioned these settings are often inspired by her 1970s childhood....
